Cybersecurity and technology veteran to lead Hitachi Cyber’s global expansion across IT, OT, and AI security.

Santa Clara, December 10, 2025 —Hitachi Systems Trusted Cyber Management Inc., which provides global cybersecurity services under the brand name “Hitachi Cyber,” today announced the appointment of Sam Rehman as its new Chief Executive Officer. Rehman brings more than 30 years of experience in, digital security, software development, and enterprise cyber operations. He will lead Hitachi Cyber’s growth strategy as the company expands its capabilities across managed security services, cybersecurity advisory, and OT/IT/AI security operations.

Rehman previously served as CISO and Senior Vice President, Head of Cybersecurity Business at EPAM Systems, where he led both global corporate security programs and the company’s cybersecurity services portfolio—including incident response, detection and response operations, zero-trust initiatives, and enterprise risk management. He also held senior roles at Oracle, Cognizant, and Arxan Technologies (now Digital.ai).

Strengthening Hitachi Cyber’s Leadership

As critical infrastructure and digital environments converge, organizations face increasingly complex cybersecurity challenges — an evolution that aligns directly with Hitachi Cyber’s mission and capabilities. Hitachi Cyber is equipped to deliver both advisory and operational capabilities, including 24/7 monitoring, cyber threat intelligence, OT/IT/AI security operations, and regulatory-aligned advisory services across global markets.

Rehman will lead Hitachi Cyber’s global operations while driving the continued expansion of the company’s capabilities in critical infrastructure security, AI-accelerated security operations, incident response, and cyber-resilience engineering. His mandate builds on the broader Hitachi Group’s longstanding strengths in industrial, digital, and mission-critical environments.

A Vision for Intelligence-Driven Cyber Resilience

“Sam’s leadership comes at a pivotal moment for the cybersecurity industry. As digital, operational, and AI-driven systems converge, our clients need a partner capable of securing mission-critical environments at global scale,” said Roger Lvin, Executive Chairman, Hitachi Cyber & CEO, Hitachi Digital Services. “Sam brings a rare combination of technical depth, operational discipline, and market insight. Under his leadership, Hitachi Cyber will expand its role as a trusted provider of resilient, intelligence-driven security operations for organizations that cannot afford downtime or compromise.”

Rehman added:
“Hitachi Cyber combines industrial heritage with modern cyber innovation. As IT and OT converge, accelerated by AI adoption, our mission is to deliver intelligence-driven cybersecurity that protects critical infrastructure and enables safe, sustainable innovation.”

Sam Rehman’s appointment marks a key milestone in Hitachi Cyber’s continued growth. With deep industrial expertise and advanced cyber capabilities, Hitachi Cyber is positioned to support the evolving security needs of critical infrastructure and enterprise organizations. Under Rehman’s leadership, the company will continue advancing its mission to deliver intelligence-driven cyber resilience worldwide.
